E48 The Witch of Staten Island

On the night of December 25, 1843, a fire burned down part of George and Emeline Houseman's cottage. The remains of two bodies were found within the ashes, that of Emeline Houseman and her baby daughter. They, however, did not die in the fire, but the fire was set to cover up their murders. Suspicion fell upon Mary (Polly) Bodine (George Houseman's sister), dubbed The Witch of Staten Island.

Come join D'Arcy and Nicola as they sift through events and see what the dead have to say.
